What Wishbone does with your data

A short version of the privacy policy. Updated 1 November 2026.

What Wishbone reads

Your name and email when you sign up. Sign-in is handled by Clerk. If you sign in with Google, Wishbone also receives your basic Google profile (name, email and picture).

If you connect Google, Wishbone reads Gmail, Calendar and Contacts, and only to show you your own network. That access is read-only.

  • Gmail. Who you wrote, and when. The text of a thread is read only when you open that conversation or ask for help with it. Wishbone never sends, changes or deletes email.
  • Calendar. Your events’ titles, times and attendees, and when you are free or busy. Wishbone never changes your calendar.
  • Contacts. Names, email addresses, phone numbers and the other details Google stores for a contact.

Anything you type in stays because you put it there: people, notes, reminders, drafts and meeting notes. You can also import contacts from a CSV or vCard file, or the connections file LinkedIn gives you when you export your data.

If you install the Chrome extension, it reads the LinkedIn profile on the page you are viewing: name, headline, role, location and the rest of what that page shows. Wishbone updates that person only when they are already in your workspace. A profile that matches no one is discarded. LinkedIn message text is off unless you turn it on, and then it stays on your computer. It is not sent to Wishbone’s servers.

What Wishbone stores

People, notes, reminders, drafts, contact details, and the dates of emails and meetings stay in your workspace until you delete them. The text of an email is not kept unless you save something from that thread. Google’s access token is encrypted.

Your account’s data is stored in a database in the United States and kept separate from every other account. Wishbone does not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

When you use an AI feature, such as a summary or a draft, the text for that request is sent to the model provider to answer you. Those providers are not permitted to keep it or train on it. Notes and profiles are also sent to a search provider so you can find them, with training turned off.

This website remembers your light or dark choice on this browser and counts visits and clicks on Get started. The app records which features are used. Session replays mask all text, inputs and images.

How to delete your data

Disconnect Google, or any other account you connected, in Settings. That stops syncing and deletes Wishbone’s access token. You can also revoke Google at myaccount.google.com/permissions. People already imported stay until you delete them or your account, so your history is not lost by disconnecting.

To delete everything, open Settings, then General, then Delete account, and type DELETE. That deletes the account and the data in it: people, notes, reminders, drafts, chats and connections. Download a copy from the app first if you want one. You can also email info@wishbone.network and ask for a copy or for deletion.

Wishbone deletes the account and its data when you confirm. Copies left in backups and logs are removed on the normal backup cycle, within 30 days, and are not used for anything else in the meantime.

The full policy

The privacy policy is the complete account: who else processes data, how long records are kept, and the rights you have depending on where you live.
